North Park police say three suspects from a Wednesday morning stabbing are on the run somewhere near Las Vegas.
Officers responded at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday to a domestic violence call at 1651 N. 400 East in North Logan where they found two victims - a 31-year-old man who had been stabbed twice in the abdomen and a 31-year-old woman who had been severely beaten.
The woman has since been released from the hospital, and the man remains in the hospital. Police have not named the couple.
Investigators are now looking for three suspects. Dusty James, 25, Cara Alvina James, 22, and Keshia James, 18, are all wanted for questioning. Arrest warrants have been obtained for all three suspects.
Police Sgt. John Italasano said the victims do not reside at the apartment where they were found. The suspects, however, do.
Italasano said the victims and suspects were in the apartment together earlier in the evening and that alcohol was involved.
"They were invited there," he said. "We were told that the male suspect starting hitting on the female victim. It started as a sexual assault involving the male suspect and female victim. That's when a fight started."
Italasano said it was later learned the suspects fled the scene.
An investigation is in the works and North Park investigators are still compiling statements.
